You’re right that people respond to stories. Spencer Pratt is simply telling one that resonates because many Angelenos live the disorder, open drug use, and decay every day. The real failure isn't his storytelling. The real failure is the dominant LA narrative of endless “compassion" without accountability, housing-first ideology, and record spending that keeps delivering worse outcomes.

Voters aren't rejecting facts. They're rejecting policies that sound kind when told as a story, but produce tragedy in reality.

LA needs a better story. The last thing we need is more story about story. .
